School Information: Emergency Procedures/School Safety
For information regarding emergency procedures, please refer to the following: Specific members of the Waverly faculty are part of a school-wide
Emergency Response Team. The team consists of administrators, office
staff, psychologists, teachers, and teaching assistants. The purpose of a
school emergency team is to have our personnel be able to manage school
emergency situations. Our Building Level Safety Plan addresses emergency evacuations;
procedures for ensuring crisis response; providing law enforcement
personnel access to necessary information in the case of an emergency;
and establishing internal and external communications in emergency
situations. Members of this team meet periodically to practice responding to a variety of emergency situations. One aspect of our building security is to lock all doors at 8:38 AM
except for the front door. All visitors must enter the building from the
main entrance, sign-in at the main office and then receive a visitor's
pass. Emergency Procedures
