Dear Eastchester Families,

I would like to update you on the latest information regarding the extended closure of the Eastchester School District. As per Governor Cuomo’s directive, all schools in New York State will be closed until April 29, 2020. The Eastchester School District will continue to provide distance learning, childcare for essential workers and grab and go meals for families who have been identified in need of this service.

In addition, the Board of Regents announced that Regents exams scheduled for June in New York have been canceled amid the coronavirus shutdown. More details are still forthcoming.

At this time, we implore you to maintain social distancing practices to protect your families and our community.

Please know that your family’s health and wellbeing remains our priority. Please refer to our website to access numerous educational and mental health resources.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation in these matters.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rob Glass
Superintendent of Schools
